Every moment with young children is a watershed moment for parents. There is so much to celebrate from the moment you learn you are pregnant (maternity session) to delivering your precious bundle of joy to bringing your baby home (newborn sessions) and before you know it, you’ll be preparing for your child’s 1st birthday & cake smash session (these are fun at any age!) etc.
Maternity sessions are the time to celebrate one of the most incredible moments in a couple’s life. If you’ve already had your first child, then taking photos as you’re getting ready to add a new member to your growing family definitely deserves some time in front of the camera.
Newborn sessions are so incredibly special. First time parents are often still shell-shocked and in utmost awe that they created something so perfect. Capturing parent’s facial expressions that are overflowing with love for their baby is so incredibly moving. Your newborn sessions can be all about your baby, all about your new family, or a combination of both – that’s totally up to you. And a newborn coming home to siblings deserves to have some physical proof that there once was a time when their older siblings didn’t think they were annoying!
While cake smash sessions are generally reserved to celebrate your newly minted 1-year old, don’t forget that they can be fun for any age … just saying! Any adult volunteers to be models for this?
